New Homes at Culpepper Landing
In Chesapeake, Virginia
Situated in a pastoral setting framed by the Colonial-era Great Dismal Swamp Canal and a 150-acre wooded conservation area, Culpepper Landing honors a
legacy of tranquil living in the heart of Chesapeake's historic Deep Creek area. Culpepper Landing was selected as the 2009 site for Homearama, where the community's
carefully planned blend of single- and multi-family homes, row houses, a mercantile district and natural recreation space
appealed to homebuyers of all ages and in all price ranges.
An 83-Year Tradition of Family Life on the Land
As a boy, Tim Culpepper, vice president of Robinson Development Group, roamed his family's 488-acre farm—fishing, hunting and camping under the sun and the stars. The fields yielded corn, wheat and soybeans; Tim picked watermelons and cantaloupes to sell in the summer months. Now Tim has helped plan Culpepper Landing, sharing the property his family purchased in 1926 with new families who will create memories of their own in these beautiful surroundings.
Keeping a Close Relationship with Nature
Paths and walkways through Culpepper Landing's conservation area will complement neighborhood public
squares and pocket parks. Children's play areas, a dog park, campsites and a community garden center
will offer green spaces for a variety of outdoor activities such as biking, bird watching and
picnicking. With convenient access to the Intracoastal Waterway and Lake Drummond, residents can spend days exploring by canoe or kayak.
